Mara play therapy is a team of independent play therapists and we offer flexible support for children and families. We use play therapy as a core offering because children think and learn and sort out all their difficulties through playing.  

How did you manage your practice before? 

Initially, we were just using OneDrive and creating all our documents ourselves using a different calendar, using a different invoicing system. 

I looked for a system where you could move independent practitioners' information on to another system but we also needed something where everything was in one palace. We wanted invoicing in the one palace, we wanted a calendar and we wanted easy to do notes. 

How was your experience when you switched to splose? 

So I was really nervous when I was going to move over to splose because I was very aware that I had very sensitive information about clients. And so what they did was they did a night shift to transfer our material over to splose. 

How was your experience with the support team? 

When you contact the support team, they're very friendly and they really think about how to solve your problem, which I really like.

What are your favourite things about splose? 

One of my favourite things about splose is that it sends out your appointments automatically and then it sends reminders, and then it also sends out reminders for invoices that aren't paid, and that saves a huge amount of time.

What particular feature impressed you? 

So I really like the invoicing because it already knows who your client is and it already knows what appointment you did with them.

How does splose calendar help your day to day? 

I really like the colour coding in the calendar because you can see immediately what kind of appointment you're having. So we have different colors for all the different kinds of therapy that we offer, but also different meetings. We can see on the calendar when we can speak to each other on the phone because we're in different campuses. We like to make sure we're not interrupting if we're phoning somebody up, so we can see everybody's diary.

With splose what is now possible for your practice? 

It's possible for us to easily take on more therapists and just have them as part of the system. It's possible for us to be very much more efficient, so it means we've got more time for clients.
