APA FOCUS24: The Business of Physiotherapy Recap

splose attends APA FOCUS24

5 mins to read

Our team at splose had a blast attending the FOCUS24 Conference, hosted by The Australian Physiotherapy Association.

Over three impactful days, physiotherapy professionals from across the country gathered to connect and exchange ideas. With the theme of The Business Of Physiotherapy, the conference buzzed with insightful presentations and engaging discussions, all centred around optimising business operations and enhancing client care.

With a wealth of knowledge gained, we’re eager to share our top takes!

Our top takes from FOCUS24:

1. The voice of AI

Now more than ever we’re seeing the physiotherapy community embrace the power of AI and automation. The Australian Physiotherapy Association spoke passionately about the ways AI is transforming the physiotherapy landscape - from streamlining daily operations to delivering detailed client notes. By helping clinics cut down on admin time and data entry processes, it's clear that AI will continue to play a growing role in the industry, helping teams stay ahead of the curve.

2. Empowering staff through leadership

Effective leadership isn’t just a buzzword; it’s essential in Allied Health! We learned so much about what it takes to lead a team that feels motivated, valued, and empowered to deliver the best client experience.

Whether it’s through strong managerial practices, open communication, or recognising individual strengths, strong leadership helps create a positive work culture and encourages team members to thrive.

It’s all about leading by example, and we were inspired by some fantastic leaders who shared their insights at FOCUS24.

3. Efficient in workflow and optimising for growth

The Australian Physiotherapy Association conference offered powerful methods and strategies to streamline operations, letting practices focus on care, not chaos!

By adopting streamlined processes, clinics can boost productivity, reduce roadblocks, and provide better care for their clientele. We walked away bursting at the seams with new ideas for workflow optimisation, and we’re excited to help our clients apply these insights to their own practices.
