Hi, my name's Kate Broderick. I'm the founder and CEO of Spot. I'm a dual qualified speech pathologist and occupational therapist and a passionate neurodiversity affirming clinician. For me, being able to develop a bespoke service that suited my interests and qualifications was where it started.

But now as a mum of four, including neurodivergent kids, my vision really is to create a more inclusive world where we empower people to explore their identity and really just live a life of autonomy and joy. This practice has been around a long time, so when I first started, was no practice management software. Was writing all my notes.

I was manually writing out invoices and billing people monthly so cash flow looked very different back then. Obviously, with any transition there's going to be nerves, but we did give a lot of thought to this decision and ultimately we went with splose. We were really happy that it was an Australian-based company.

We knew that it had some bespoke functionality when it came to NDIS services. We knew that it was going to enable us to run our billings and it's just high levels of support. We felt really confident and have been able to develop a trusting relationship with the company.

When we first moved to splose, everybody was so impressed with just the look of it. The calendars in particular are really aesthetically pleasing. We have customised the colours to match our branding, but more importantly, we're able to code different service types. Even within one service, for example, speech pathology, we can have different colours for face-to-face time versus indirect billable time, for clinic-based versus community-based services, and that wasn't something we found other platforms could offer us.

Spot offers Telehealth nationwide. It's something we're very passionate about, and again, splose has just elevated this model of care for us because we can actually send our clients the links for sessions and they're stored within the splose calendar for our clinicians. So when that session time comes around, there's no opening and closing tabs. All they have to do is click the link and then they're there sitting face-to-face with their family with a click of a button.

In old systems and other systems it can be quite difficult cancelling, rescheduling, recreating appointments but splose is so easy. All we need to do is drag and drop. It's a quick phone call for our clients and it's also a really quick and easy task for our admin team. I think the thing that we're really excited about is that splose has this integrated AI because we trust this platform and we're not using things that we're worried about data storage perhaps not being safe.

So it helps us to feel really compliant and obviously adds efficiency to our work. Knowing that splose is keeping up to date with AI functionality is really important. It feels like we're future proofing our business.
