Let’s be honest, appointment changes are a total waste of time and feel like an unavoidable chore. But not any more. With splose, your clients can now cancel and reschedule their own appointments 24x7 via a secure link in their confirmation or reminder. No more phone tag. No more email tennis back and forth.
Manual follow ups cost time and money
Every appointment change is a cascading series of interruptions - taking the call, finding the appointment, updating the calendar, reconfirming the appointment. And when a single action has so many steps, the minutes also pile up into hours over the week.
But that’s just lost time. When cancellations come in overnight, when a Friday evening cancellation leaves an empty spot unclaimed on Monday morning, that’s lost revenue.
With our self-service feature, you can solve both these issues in one go.
Managing appointments is really easy for clients
When clients need to manage their appointment, all they need to refer to is the link in the confirmation or reminder message they received. This link appears in the emails and SMS messages sent by your practice. When they click the link, they can:
- Cancel by selecting a reason from the practice's list and confirm. This frees up the slot in your schedule immediately.
- Reschedule by picking a new time from the available slots (powered by our updated Online Bookings) and confirming the new slot.
Every link is unique to each client’s appointment and works around the clock. No login required. They make the change, your practice gets notified, instantly.
You set the rules for your scheduler
Even though clients have the power to control their appointments, you still get to decide when and how to deploy this feature. Here are some of the rules you control:
- Turn it on or off independently. Cancellation and rescheduling are separate toggles; you can offer one without the other.
- Set your own notice periods. Decide if cancellations and reschedules require 24 or 48 hours' notice. You can also set different rules for cancellation vs rescheduling.
- Choose what patients see. Each cancellation reason has a ‘visible to client’ setting. Only the ones you mark as visible appear in the patient-facing view.
- Decide where notifications go. When something changes, you can choose if alerts go to the practitioner, a location email, or both.
