Chad Henney: Eighteen months ago, I wouldn't have thought we'd be where we are as a business today. And splose has been a really big part of that growth.

Chad: My name is Chad Henney. I'm the Co-Founder and Co-Director of Ivy Psychology. Ivy Psychology is a psychology practice. We have a clinic in Randwick, and we're also an NDIS registered provider, where we provide in-home and telehealth services.

Joel Moffat: I'm Joel. I'm the Clinical Lead at Ivy Psychology. I'm a clinical psychologist, so my role is to train and support all of the staff we have working for us here.

Chad: We trialed multiple different apps and we couldn't really get it quite right, so that we could focus on doing our clinical work, while making the admin behind the scenes as seamless as possible. The winning ticket for me when signing up for splose was the form functionality. There are multiple steps with onboarding a client, particularly when it comes to the NDIS. And that can take a really long time, but with splose we once turned around a client in forty-eight minutes, which means that we could book in an appointment with one of our clinicians the next day, which is pretty much unheard of.

Joel: One of the biggest surprises or best things about splose that I've enjoyed the most has been the note-taking with the AI. I have to be taking notes often as I'm doing a session, particularly an initial session or an assessment. splose takes care of all of that for me, so I can focus on the client or the person in front of me. So what used to be a mad dash for about ten or fifteen minutes after each session, now takes about two minutes.

Chad: With batch invoicing, I can literally be at the cafe on a Friday afternoon and make sure that all of our billing is done for the whole week with a few taps on my phone.

Joel: Bringing all of my clients over from my sole trading business was super easy. splose were very supportive with that and they managed most of the data input for me. So I could literally pick up from where I left off with all of those clients.

Chad: For our clinicians, splose makes their lives way easier and allows clinicians to be clinicians.

Joel: splose has really helped me turn down the admin noise in session, so that means I'm present, I'm available for my staff and my clients, and they get the best out of me. splose has really helped us grow and scale from essentially being a sole trader, to where we are now. And we look forward to taking on more staff with the confidence that we can support them to do their jobs.

Chad: I would highly recommend splose to any new business or even existing businesses that want to streamline their operations and want to allow their clinicians to do their best work as a clinician.

The Story of Ivy Psychology: From Admin Overload to Scalable Growth

Eighteen months ago, Chad Henney and Joel Moffat were working hard to scale their practice, Ivy Psychology. Like many growing clinics, they hit a frustrating wall. They were juggling the complexities of being an NDIS-registered provider, navigating clunky software, and spending far too much time on paperwork instead of people. For Joel, the Clinical Lead, every client session was followed by a frantic 15-minute dash just to finish clinical notes. The "admin noise" was overwhelming, making it difficult to stay truly present with the clients who needed them.

They knew they needed a system that worked for them, not against them. After trialing multiple apps that completely missed the mark, they made the switch to splose. From the very beginning, the transition felt different. The splose team stepped in and handled the heavy lifting of importing data from their old sole-trader setup, allowing Chad and Joel to pick up exactly where they left off without missing a beat.

The Transformation

Once fully integrated, splose didn't just organise their practice, it fundamentally changed how they operated. The results were immediate and highly practical:

  • Record-breaking onboarding: The traditionally exhausting NDIS client onboarding process was revolutionised by splose's intuitive form functionality. What used to take ages was slashed down to a 48-minute turnaround, allowing new clients to be booked for the very next day.
  • AI-Powered notes: Thanks to splose’s AI note-taking, Joel’s frantic post-session writing routine was reduced to a calm two minutes. He could finally put the screen down and focus entirely on the person sitting in front of him.
  • Billing from anywhere: Admin became so deeply streamlined that Chad, the Co-Director, found himself handling an entire week's worth of batch invoicing with a few taps on his smartphone while relaxing at a cafe on a Friday afternoon.

Today, Ivy Psychology is no longer a stressed sole-trader operation; it is a thriving, highly scalable business. splose stripped away the operational friction, giving Chad and Joel the confidence to hire more staff and expand their clinic. Their biggest takeaway is simple but powerful: splose removes the administrative roadblocks, allowing clinicians to actually be clinicians.
